Give me this bike. Now.
My prediction was partly true. I knew that Yamaha wouldn’t sit Idly as Kawasaki and Suzuki monopolized (or duopolized?) the uber-displacement category with their ZX-14 and Hayabusa. I predicted Yamaha would try to one-up both with a bike displacing 1.6L, and with an inline or V6, similar in size and layout to the Busa and Ninja, but far better looking.
In fact, the new bike is 1.7L, and is far better looking, but it’s not a sportbike really. It’s whatever the VMax is. A naked bike on steroids or a cruiser without the redneck retard factor. It’s fucking awesome is what it is. The old ‘Max was getting a bit outdated, and other bikes like the V-Rod were starting to show it up, but this new iteration should remind us all the unmatched awesomeness and torque of a V4. This bike is as if someone turned Pantera into a motor vehicle.
