Oh jeez, check out Upgrade again. Apparently someone was on on United First Class and his blanket which was in a plastic bag had a "long black hair" in it! Overall United is blowing goats across the board.

This is been going on for years. Only use the blankets if you are taking the first flight of the day. This is true for the majority of DOMESTIC flights. Singapore Airlines changes the blankets on every flight. But, ALL the flights are international....

Skylatino thanks for the info....One more reason to visit Strbcks before the flight.....

I do believe that Singapore Airlines, and a few others do use new blankets every flight. Not sure about pillows. But the blankets are wrapped in plastic (maybe that's just to fake us out?).

This is nothing new. I've worked for 3 airlines as a flight attendant and pillows and blankets are NOT changed between flights - only at the end of the day at best. The current airline I work for doesn't even offer pillows and balnkets, I always tell the passengers to BRING THEIR OWN - they wouldn't want to use the ones on board even if we did have them. Let me give you more to be outraged about...not only are pillows and blankets not cleaned, but neither are the COFFEE POTS and the bathrooms are barely touched. Think about that the next time you have a coffee craving...or feel the need to use the bathroom on board instead of the one in the terminal.
